IBM hosts Software Magic Event in Pakistan
IBM Pakistan gathered more than 500 customers and business partners from across the country for a two-day event to brief them on the latest software solutions that make up an on-demand business model. The Software Magic event, started with the welcoming speech by Humayun Bashir, Country G.M., IBM Pakistan, followed by the keynote address by Mr. Syed Mustafa Kamal, IT Minister Sindh.

The conference featured presentations from a number of International and local speakers from IBM and the industry and addressed challenges that are currently being faced by the IT market in Pakistan and the opportunities that an on-demand business model can provide.
Special sessions looked into workflow management, collabor-ation and productivity, enterprise information and systems management and how Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) can extend their reach in their markets.
Presentations and live demonstrations in real business environments were also made that communicated the value and integration of IBMs broad range of software offerings, including the WepSphere, Lotus, DB2, Rational and Tivoli brands.
